Destinies, dancing and release…Part 4

Continued from previous posts at: Destinies, dancing and release … Part one, Part Two and Part Three

The final “chapter” of this weekend … now long gone, but people not forgotten …. played out in the foyer of the hotel.

My husband went to check our room for left behind items … while I finalised the bill and arranged for our car to be collected from parking.

As I stood at the counter to pay, out of the corner of my eye I saw a man with bandages over both his hands and up his arms.  As soon as I saw him I knew I was to pray…

I arranged for the car to be collected and walked over, mentioned the obvious to him and offered to pray.

He instantly took me up on my offer and explained that he had come off his bike, causing dreadful injuries to his arms and hands where he had lost most of the skin.  I thought how useless he must feel standing there unable to do anything like lift bags however, nonetheless, there he was on duty …

I gently took his hands and released healing over his hands and arms, commanding healing to take place quickly.

As I prayed I knew there was more, I knew he also was not doing what his heart desired to do, he was not fulfilling his dreams, his destiny …

I explained what I sensed and he agreed, looking a bit teary and so I called his destiny open, and spoke words of life over him.  I cannot remember exactly what they were, but they seemed to hit his heart and he gently said “Amen” and “Bless you” when I had finished praying …

I prophesied life over him and called Him into his place as a tall and noble man …

I quietly thanked him for allowing me to pray and I turned and walked back to my husband who was now waiting for me across the foyer.  As I approached him I smiled saying “what a weekend … lots of people being released into destinies!” …

God sure had been busy!  He wanted those around us prayed for, touched, destinies released, dreams recognised, called into, called out and brought forth to the light … to the surface.  Designs for life, designs for living had been released, and people had been set free … and I hoped that they all would dive straight into all they were called to …

It fascinated me … the entire weekend had a theme running through out  … the creative ones were being released, the hidden treasures were being called into their God given futures, into their heaven made designs … people were being called to step into their futures as God had designed them, they were being set free to fly and soar and create and be and He cared enough to show me the secrets of their heart so that His word could be released into and over their lives and He did this because …

God is Good!

Stopping for the one…a call to arms! a God is Good praise report.

A couple of moths ago I was heading up the street with my 5-year-old scootering along by my side, when I saw a man walking towards us on the footpath with a plaster cast on his arm.

I felt “the prompt” and looked at him thinking about the “call to arms” that God has prophetically been releasing to the church and knew that I needed to offer to pray. (Heaven’s clarion call to arms stories one, two three)

I did and he happily replied “yes … I’m a Catholic … you can pray …”

I found out that he had broken his wrist and if it didn’t heal properly, which at the time it wasn’t, he would need surgery.  In fact he was due to have a scan that week to determine if he needed surgery.

I told him a few stories about healings, including A’s broken legs being healed by God (see links below) and I placed my hand on the cast, invited the Holy Spirit to come, while I fought feelings of doubt in my mind …

After the prayer, during which he felt some heat and then relief, we briefly chatted about churches, faith, Christianity and when it was time to move on he asked how he could let me know how he got on, so I gave him my e-mail address and wished him well, thinking to myself that I would probably not hear from him since I rarely ever got any feed back from the “random” encounters who were given my details …

Well I was wrong!

He wrote by e-mail received yesterday (24th May 2012) the following:

Hi …., I’m the guy you met … a few weeks ago, thought I’d better get in touch, and give you an update. I was told in my first follow up visit to hospital that I may need surgery to insert a pin in my wrist. When I went in last Thursday, they advised the wrist was almost completely healed, no surgery required, and the plaster removed, hopefully the prayers you so kindly offered contributed to this quick recovery-so I thank you most sincerely, and more importantly the higher power you invoked.

He went on to say:

Many years ago when I was really struggling financially, after attending Mass, I was chatting to an older lady, who told me something quite miraculous was about to happen to me, and she gave me some Lourdes water, after I put my dole form into Centrelink, I blest my self with the water, and bought a $6.00 lotto quickpic, and won over $3000.00! I know praying for financial relief is not something so accepted, but it certainly gave me the chance to get back on my feet again.

In the same e-mail he then asked for more prayer, around another issue saying:

Now I’m confronted with another problem that would require more than a miracle to overcome … (details are left out by author)

He then completed the email with:

Thank you so much for your prayers, God bless you, D

He knew where to come back for help … the Christian who stopped and prayed for him on the street … the Christian who believed in the power of prayer for

powerful and effective are the prayers of a righteous person” (James 5:16).

What random encounter is being set up for you today?

Look for the arms in bandages … is He calling you to arms?

How many miracles are we walking past every day of our lives?

Will you stop for the one and let God …?

I could have walked past this one, but chose not to, and by “stopping for the one” a man tasted and saw once more in his life that …

It’s time for the Army of God to rise forth because…God is Good!

Here are two stories that I received by e-mail on Tuesday (24th January 2012), that challenge us all … to step up and out …

These stories demonstrate that we can all do this walk with God in radical obedience and touch people’s lives dramatically “as we go”  … where ever we are … by stopping and listening and acting …

They will challenge the “mature of faith” to step up into it and encourage “the new” to give it a go …

These stories are from a new friend who, with her husband and family, have quickly embedded themselves deep into my family’s hearts … they, as a family, have been deeply impacted by God, especially in the last week or two, and are now stepping out in radical obedience as they listen to God’s heart and His promptings…

My friend writes:

So many amazing things have been happening for me I have to share a few with you.

I went to church 2 weeks ago at OLA, I saw a lady that I knew a long time ago. She looked very unwell, was in a wheel chair and had lost her hair. I felt so strongly I needed to pray for her, so I did. While I was praying I got messages to tell her, I so wanted to approach her and tell her so many things but I could not find the courage. Two weeks passed and it has been on my mind everyday, I have prayed for her and have still felt strongly I needed to speak with her.

Yesterday I downloaded music (Isi de Gersigny) “You are Beautiful”,  I followed what I was being told to do and just went with it. I got in the car and drove to her house which is so very very strange as I did not have the address but I found her. I knew that she lived around P… Street, E Street, maybe S Street but had no house number.  God took me to her home. I didn’t even ring the door bell I just stood there and her husband opened the door and invited me in. He said he remembered me and sees me at church which I was surprised.

He turned the  tv off and together the 3 of us sat and prayed. I told her what I needed to tell her, she wept and her husband told me what I said was exactly how he felt towards his wife. That she is beautiful, an angel in the eyes of God. He put the cd on and she held my hands as the tears flowed.

I left feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, her husband thanked me for coming, I felt no embarrassment just peace.

Later the same night R and i went to the supermarket.  While collecting the groceries I saw in the corner of my eye a lady shop lifting. I questioned why did God just allow me to see that, what am I supposed to do with that information. I wandered through the supermarket asking for guidance, asking God to help me make the right decision.

Going through the register this same lady was in front of me, she was very thin and had the appearance and energy of someone who was struggling with life. Her grocery items came to a total of around $75, she opened her wallet to pay. I stepped forward (R was thinking what are you doing D, but did not say a word). I looked at the lady and said “i do not want you to get in trouble, but I saw what you did”. I asked her to return the goods onto the counter and i would pay for her shopping. She reached into her top and pulled out the stolen item (a big block of cheese). Her eyes filled up as she told me it was survival that made her do it and that she didn’t really want to and felt terrible. I paid  for her shopping. We then stepped to the side and held hands and prayed, she looked me in the eyes and said you have my word I will never ever ever do that again. She raised her arms in the air and wept as God touched her heart. Rick and I left the supermarket, got in the car and felt that “too drunk to drive feeling”.   We sat quietly and thanked the Lord for creating the unspoken mutual understanding that R and I both have that will allow us to step forward and help others knowing that I have R’s full support and vice versa that he has mine.

Thank you for giving me the strength to follow my heart.

Love D

I think that these two stories say it all …

It’s time for the Army of God to rise forth … It’s time for the goodness of God to be revealed … Its time for us all that believe to enter into the fullness of our destiny as laid down lovers of a good God …

It’s time to walk as a fully authorised Bride of Christ, where ever we go, what ever we do, because …

God IS Good!

A reminder that we are all called to arms … obedience in stopping for the one

I was walking home from kindy with 4-year-old M.  As we waited at the railway tracks for a train to pass I saw an elderly couple waiting on the other side of the track – the husband had his arm in a huge bandage … and I knew I was to offer to pray, but I did not want to …

I tried to ignore the prompting.  I was tired, had a dreadful halo of pain right around my temple which made speaking very painful and wanted to get home to get M fed and settled for a quiet activity so I could sit.  God had other plans …

I walked past them, and felt the prompting come even stronger, so I stopped, turned, got M off the railway track and wait as I ran across the road after them.  I called out “excuse me” and they eventually stopped and turned to look at me… I thought “should have just stopped them before when I first saw them … would have been easier”.

I quickly introduced myself and explained that I was a Christian and offered to pray, explaining that I had seen arms healed with prayer.  The wife looked pleased, and the gentleman quickly said yes that would be great.  I quickly found out what was wrong and found out their names.

M waited on the other side of the road for me, and I prayed, inviting the Holy Spirit to come.  I told the torn tendons to mend, and for all carpel tunnel to leave, for all damage done from the surgery to be healed in Jesus name.  I felt the anointing and I asked the gentleman if he felt anything, explaining that he may feel heat, coolness, tingles etc.

He looked at me and said he felt tingles and warmth.  I said that was God’s healing power and asked him to tell me when the feeling lifted and I prayed again, blessing what the Holy Spirit was doing and asking for more.  The gentleman then said that the sensation lifted and so I thanked them for stopping and allowing me to pray …

They both thanked me – they were Christians and had whole heartedly agreed with all I had prayed and said about God and healing.

I will not know if he was healed.  They were strangers – most of the people I stop for are strangers that I may never see again and so I have to trust that God has it all in hand … I know I must stop in obedience, regardless of me and my own world happenings …

I noted the irony that it was another arm … a reminder that we have all been called to arms and so I encourage all, regardless of circumstances, to listen for God’s soft promptings and stop for the one He puts before you … you may never know the outcome in this life, but if we will just stop in obedience for the one, then together we will impact the world in a dramatic way …

If it took just 120 in the upper room to impact the world for God, then imagine what just a portion of the body of Christ could do … if we would just listen and obey … for His word says …

If you love me, you will obey my commandments … (John 14:15 NIV 1984)

And if we obey Him, His commandment, stepping out in obedience in response to is voice, without fear and question, then I know, without a doubt, that the world will be impacted for the better for …

Stepping out with the Kingdom of Heaven at the basketball (K’s story of a Good God)

A friend of mine has been stepping out and offering the Kingdom of Heaven as she goes … where ever she is … be it work, her son’s basketball, where ever.  I love her testimonies (see link for some others).  She sent me more testimonies last week and they continue to inspire me to keep going.  She sent this testimony today.

Because K chose to believe and release Heaven’s healing in faith, a young boy may be healed and may be ready to play basketball sooner than he would have been.  As a minimum, at the time, the pain receded, relief came for the boy as he waited for the ambulance, and favour was released …

K writes in her email dated 4th August 2011:

This stepping out is really becoming a lifestyle thing …

Last night I went to pick up S [her son] from basketball training. When I arrived one of the boys on the team had fallen and hurt his elbow pretty badly, so much so that the Coach had called an ambulance. They feared it was dislocated or even broken. All the boys had run down to the entrance of the school to wait for the ambulance & the Coach was outside speaking to 000. When I went into the gym, the boy J was sitting with his mum looking quite ill and he was in a terrible amount of pain.

I sat next to him and his mum and asked if I could pray for him while we waited for the ambulance.  They agreed.

I commanded the pain to go and asked the Holy Spirit to come in and heal his elbow. I asked that his elbow would not be broken and that the peace of God would flow over him and his mum.  I then asked how the pain was, he said it was still there but not as intense. I said I wouldn’t touch his elbow but would hold my hand near it and keep praying, so I sat there quietly praying for peace & healing & praying in my heavenly language.  I asked him if he could feel anything. He said he could feel heat coming from my hands. I explained that he could feel the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. I then began sharing testimonies of healing with him & telling him I believe God is going to heal him & he will be playing basketball in no time.

When his Coach came in she said he looked much better and had his colour back. He was still in some pain though. Unfortunately I had to leave as I had family waiting for me at home as we had to go to a function that night.

I just spoke to his mum this morning [the day after].  She was thankful for my prayers and she believed it made a great deal of difference for him.  God is so good, because they were shown favour went they went to the hospital & were seen in 1 ½ hours when the place was absolutely hopping.  The x-rays couldn’t confirm a break as there was too much fluid to see, so they have put  a support cast under his lower arm to protect it until they can x ray again on Monday.   They said if he can stretch his arm out straight by then all will be good.  – Yay!

So I encouraged his mum to keep praying healing scriptures over him & to keep commanding the pain to go. I shared with her my journey in believing God’s word and activating it. So I am still waiting and believing in a complete healing…

My friend knows, and is discovering more and more, who she is in Christ, and she is choosing to step into her identity.

Jesus said:

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.”

John 14:12 (NASB)

And so she steps out … and God backs her up, because we have His word that He will, His word is good, and he fulfils His word because …

God is Good!
