To speak without the heartbeat of Love is to be a clanging cymbal, a sounding gong. Let’s not just be noise, and so, only when you hear the heartbeat of Love – speak.
As we ushered in the 20s, the prophets declared it the year and the decade of the mouth. The year and the decade of the voice.*
Nothing has changed. It remains the decade of the voice. Indeed, it is the decade of the maturation of the voice.
There is a choice available.
WE get to choose!
We decide what sound (what voice) we are known for. What will we release with our mouth, with our voice?
2022 is also the year of the ‘open door.’
WE choose what door we open, and we choose what doors we close… with our voice…
What do you choose?
Do we see what our Saviour is doing? Will we declare His loving promises with our voice, or will we choose to release something else?
Study the fruit of your words. A reckoning before harvest is here. There is a harvest, and it’s not what most would think. It’s not The Harvest, rather, it’s the harvest of our words.
The challenge and the question…
Will there be a harvest of joy, hope, love, peace, faith?
Or is the fruit of our spoken words, the fruit of our focus, fear, anxiety and hatred of others?
The reckoning is now…
This is the decade of maturation, into the fullness of the sound of the Spirit. Those willing to grow up will release the fresh sounds of Heaven…
And we do not release just with our words, for a sound emits from the people we are. Our lives lived release sound into the realms we do not see.
Words, actions, thoughts, beliefs, choices…
Do you release the sound of life?
If not, take time to pause, reset, refocus, refine, listen.
Importantly, remain silent…
And ONLY when you hear the heartbeat of Love, then speak.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1)
*According to the Jewish calendar, we are in the decade of the 5780s. The number 80 corresponds to the letter ‘pey’ in the Hebraic alphabet and means ‘mouth.’ By extension, it also means word, breath, speech. This is the decade of voice activation – a decade of invitation to take part in an act of co-labouring with God with our words.
