About a month ago I was having coffee with a friend at a coffee shop in a major shopping centre, a coffee shop I had been to about a fortnight before.

The same girl served us as had on my first visit … she was delightful, gentle and kind … and I remembered her with fondness …

I said “hello” and reminded her of the last time I was in and then happily caught up with my friend.

After our catch up, as I went to pay, I sensed that I needed to offer to pray for the girl.  As she processed our bill I asked if I could pray, explaining I was a Christian … she immediately got a bit flustered, and her hands visibly began to shake.  She responded she too was a Christian … and that yes, I could pray …

I took her hand and asked her if she was studying, was there something around her study that needed prayer?  She responded in the affirmative and instantly got teary, explaining that yes she needed prayer for a situation she was facing as a student teacher …

I prayed for her, the anointing tangible, her shaking and crying a little.

I “saw” myself kissing her forehead, as I had for others before her, and blessing her with the Father’s blessing and I asked if I could bless her and kiss her forehead … she agreed and so I did, and I gently gave her a hug at the end …

Through tears and shaking hands, apologising for hersef she gave me my credit card and I thanked her for allowing me to pray … as I left I said … “God has the solution sorted, it will be ok, otherwise He would not have told me to offer to pray or that you were a student … and I left it at that …”

About two weeks later I went to the same coffee shop.  This was a strange coincidence since I never usually go to this particular shopping centre … it is further away and although it is larger, I just never go there …

In any case, I was there with my husband who had ducked down from work to see something at a shop there and the same girl was there serving again.

We exchanged niceities, and I introduced my husband, and she then went on to say that from that day I had prayed before the sense of God’s presence had stayed with her in strong and tangible way … it had remained strong for the week that followed and she had felt great peace …

I smiled, delighted at her sense of God being with her, and her sense of it going to be ok … and she went on to tell us that she was part of a small team that had planted a church in a bayside suburb and that it had been tough.  I then sensed that she was going to need wisdom, and I felt my husband needed to pray and I asked if she was needing wisdom for some decisions to come … she did … and so I asked if my husband could pray for her, for wisdom, to which she responded with a “yes” and he did … imparting a gift of wisdom, that he walks in, to equip her for her future and the decision making process she was going through … the anointing came strongly again …

We hear from God …

We can all hear from God …

For ourselves … and for others …

Jesus said in the context of seed being cast …

… those that have ears to hear … let them hear (Mark 4:9)

Will you stop and incline your ear? And, stop to listen to the creator of the universe …

I know I miss it … but oh the rewards for hearing and stepping out, whether it be stepping out on a word for others, or a prophetic word for myself … either way … what delight to hear Him speak … for He knocks … will you let Him in to your busy life so you may see?  Will you let Him into your busy schedule so that you may hear?

If you do, I know you will see that indeed …

God is Good!
